Heydolph celebrates 25 years in labelling

Our General Manager at Steinhagen, Thomas Heydolph, is well-known within the German labelling industry. He started his career in 1988, working alongside his father in the family-owned company: Heydolph Systems.

In 2000 the company was partly acquired by Swisslog which later became part of Swisslog Automation in Steinhagen. In 2006 the labelling and cabinet manufacturing part of the business was taken over by Thomas Heydolph and his management colleagues and LogComp was established.

On 1st January 2008, LogComp GmbH, in Hildesheim and Steinhagen, Germany become an integral part of the Caljan Rite-Hite Group. The acquisition extended Caljan’s offering of telescopic conveyors and parcel registration units to include belt curves and labelling systems.  Thomas continued in his position with responsibility for sales of labelling systems and product management.

In July 2012 Thomas was appointed General Manager of the Caljan Rite-Hite T&V Unit in Steinhagen. Today, this part of the business focuses on labelling systems and weight & volume measuring equipment. Since his first self-made installation at OSRAM in 1988, Thomas has become addicted to the world of labelling.

In the past 25 years Thomas has immersed himself in the challenges faced by customers in multiple industries including food & drink and mail order. Thomas’ extensive knowledge and ability to understand their process has gained him the respect of customers. His experience enables him to dig below the surface, not only providing a labelling system, but frequently optimising the flow of data too.  After 25 years in labelling he is well-known to systems integrators and end users and considered an old hand in print & apply and document handling. Thomas also enjoys a special position amongst his peers with competing organisations, as through the years his ideas and technical solutions have often become the industry standard.
