Identifying pallets and their contents

Accurate data, precisely applied for maximum readability

Application method developed to give a high degree of legibility

Maximum readability is only possible if the label is applied correctly. This can be quite a challenge, particularly labelling the load, as these are all shapes and sizes, and the surface is seldom smooth and even.

Caljan Print & Apply for Pallets uses a specially designed applicator that automatically compensates for variations in the surface, ensuring the label is both firmly affixed and readable.

Multiple labels on multiple sides

Typically, the SSCC label is applied on two sides of the pallet. If single pallets are stacked, e.g. if various consignments are shipped to a distribution centre, then the Caljan Print & Apply for Pallets is able to apply multiple labels at different heights – all as part of the in-line conveyor system.

Labelling pallet feet

As pallets are usually made of wood, which is a porous material, it is often difficult to apply labels to the pallet feet. 'Caljan Print & Apply – Pallets' has been developed specifically to overcome this challenge.

Hot glue or high strength staplers are used to ensure the label stays firmly in place once applied. These highly reliable methods can be used on pallets of all sizes, regardless of whether they are new or used.

Once the pallet is identified with a label, it is easy to track and trace.
