Calundan and Jansen Engineering is founded in Denmark. Overhead conveyors are built to order, laying the foundation for what will become a global brand.

The first Telescopic Conveyor — nicknamed Long John — is introduced. It transforms trailer handling and sets Caljan on a path to redefine parcel logistics.

By the 1980s, “a Caljan” had become shorthand for a Telescopic Conveyor — a milestone that marked our technology’s place in logistics vocabulary.

Caljan establishes a presence in the United States, first in Colorado and later in Wisconsin, serving North American customers directly.

Deutsche Post DHL orders 1,575 Telescopic Conveyors — the largest single deal in our history at that time. A new office in Germany meets growing European demand.

Caljan.com launches, with multiple language versions following quickly. Early proof that global accessibility is digital as well as physical.

The Caljan Classic — originally SafeTrack — introduces pioneering safety features — full underguarding that set a new industry benchmark.

Manufacturing expands to Latvia with new Telescopic production in Liepaja — a milestone that expanded production capacity.

Caljan acquires LogComp, a German specialist in powered curves and labelling systems, which is later fully integrated into the Caljan brand to strengthen our automation portfolio.

Acquisition of AMH Service Ltd ensures UK customers 24/7/365 support, with a maximum two-hour response time.

The Caljan Performer is introduced — a future-proof Telescopic Conveyor, giving customers the choice between Classic and Performer models.

The SLAM line is introduced: Scan, Label, Apply, Manifest. A complete suite for document handling and specialised labelling.

Caljan joins Investment AB Latour, a long-term partner known for developing companies with unique products and strong, sustainable business foundations.

New facilities in Liepaja, Latvia, and Wisconsin, USA, increase global Telescopic Conveyor capacity to 3,000 units annually.

The BulkLoader is introduced, designed for efficient parcel redistribution. Caljan UK moves into new premises in Milton Keynes.

Caljan publishes its first Sustainability Report and acquires PHS, expanding its automation offering with Automatic Unloading; a new production site opens in Germany.

An Aftermarket Centre opens in Liepaja, Latvia, dedicated to in-house conveyor maintenance. The first Caljan Auto(Un)loaders are installed at customer sites.

Caljan introduces ErgoRider — a human-centred (un)loading solution that optimises parcel handling by removing floor obstacles and reducing lifting distances.
