Hermes, the consumer delivery specialist that provides flexible and affordable delivery options to home, work, and a network of 5,000 ParcelShops, has selected Caljan Rite-Hite as preferred support contractor for their conveyor systems located across their nationwide network of depots.
Having undergone a rigorous tender exercise, Hermes UK have, once again, chosen Caljan’s national service support to ensure that their logistics equipment is fully functional — all over the country at all times. The maintenance contract covers multiple Mobile Loaders and Fixed Booms as well as various Line Shaft Conveyors at every site for two years. All of the conveyors are 3rd party equipment.
“Caljan were selected because of their pro-active approach. Their ability to provide truly national service support 24/7 at competitive rates and their willingness to listen to our specific support requirements tipped the scales. Caljan demonstrate detailed value-added services making them the ideal choice as a service partner for Hermes”, states Jacob Faulkner, Procurement Manager Hermes Parcelnet Ltd.
Hermes, which has seen double-digit growth every year for the past seven years, is one of the UK’s leading courier services, handling more than 335 million parcels in 2018.
80 % of the UK’s top 100 retailers trust Hermes with their parcel deliveries, including Next, ASOS, John Lewis and Boohoo. Hermes is second only to the Royal Mail in terms of volumes delivered across the UK.
This agreement once again confirms Caljan Rite-Hite’s position as the nation’s preferred logistics service partner.
