Print, Fold & Place — documents inside the box
Instead of printing documents, it is sometimes advantageous to print on self-adhesive labels. The Print, Fold and Place document handling system is typically used in the pick area of a logistics facility or for pricing goods before shipping them to a store.
The labels are printed on demand, zig-zag (leporello) folded to a handy stack and automatically placed in the appropriate tote or box, as this travels along the conveyor.
The bar code and/or text printed on the labels indicates the items to be picked from the warehouse. Alternatively the labels may be for the recipient to use, e.g. in a retail outlet with pricing for the individual items in the box.
