Caljan Rite-Hite’s Work Environment Approved

Caljan Rite-Hite passed inspection with flying colours – the Work Environment is Approved

The Danish Working Environment council inspected Caljan Rite-Hite’s manufacturing facilities in Hasselager on 22nd August 2012. After reviewing the workplace and assessing the risks, they found no conditions whatsoever that gave cause for comment and awarded us a green smiley. The smiley – which is published on their website – is valid for a five year period.

The smiley system is used to grade the company’s physical and psychological work environment. There are four Smileys: green, yellow and red (with much the same meaning as traffic lights). The fourth – with a crown – indicates that the company holds a recognised health and safety certificate.

Although the employer, management and employees work together to maintain and improve the work environment, Caljan Rite-Hite has an official organization, comprising representatives from both management and employees that plan, manage and coordinate this work. All members of the organization have completed training in the work environment and are able to support and coach.
