Okura Flexible Automation Systems
Caljan continues to grow in China. To provide optimal support for international customers throughout Asia, the company has entered into a strategic agreement with Okura Flexible Automation Systems.
Okura has been present in China since 2003. Conveyors and robot palletizing solutions are developed and manufactured at its facility in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. Sales and service are managed through offices in Tianjin, Guangzhou and Shanghai. Apart from providing specialist support, Okura’s close proximity guarantees timely responses and cultural understanding.
Strengthening the sales and service set-up
The Okura organization is extremely familiar with Caljan Telescopic Conveyors, having been an authorized distributor for many years. In addition to being knowledgeable about Caljan products, Okura has extensive experience optimizing the value chain for parcel carriers, retailers and other industries that handle loose-loaded cargo.
Since 2018, a team of Okura service technicians has been responsible for ensuring that Caljan Telescopic Conveyors, installed in Asia, operate at top capacity. Training is given periodically to augment their skillset. In January 2019, the service team visited Caljan Rite-Hite’s production center to learn about updates to the Telescopic Conveyor program, and to gain a thorough understanding of new optional Functions-used to configure a Telescopic Conveyor so that it matches customer requirements perfectly.
