Electrical Assembler

We offer a great, full time position with Caljan, a growing global company within the logistics/e-commerce equipment industry. Do you have solid experience as an Electrical Assembler of conveyors or industrial equipment?

We are searching for experienced Electrical Assemblers who would be responsible for the assembly of telescopic conveyors for a large global e-commerce and logistics company.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembles conveyor sections and subassemblies per shop order, blueprints, electrical schematics, and schedule, making sure to follow pre-set processes and quality standards
  • Ability to load programs to Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC’s using proper software.
  • Ability to electrically test and troubleshoot electrical components and wiring.
  • Utilizes hand tools such as wrenches, ratchets, pliers, screwdrivers, and clamps
  • Operates power tools such as battery powered drills, saws, sanders, and grinders
  • Operates overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Uses measuring equipment frequently such as tape measures, torque wrenches, calipers, and levels
  • Performs spot inspections throughout assembly process and final quality testing to ensure product is assembled properly and to the highest standard
  • Troubleshoots and tracks project status
  • Identifies and communicates any safety or quality issues with lead or immediate supervisor
  • Maintains clean and safe work area, utilizing 5S practices whenever possible
  • Assists shipping department with crating and loading of conveyors
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 3 years of electrical assembly experience in an industrial environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Forklift and crane experience preferred
