What does a ’critical’ spare parts kit include?

When designing a spare parts kit, we determine expected lifetime and the probability of failure for all parts.  Based on our calculations – and years of experience – we put together a list of parts that should they fail would have a serious impact on the material handling process, quality, safety or environment.

The reason for investing in a spare parts kit is typically to ensure that the parts are on-hand should a break-down occur, so a repair can be affected without delay. So lead time on parts, and local availability, are considered too. A spare parts kit is specific to any given product. However, kits can be adapted to suit the volume of equipment installed, reducing stock levels – or extended to meet specific customer requirements.

Our prime concern is always to minimize the consequences a failure would have on your business.
